Aaron Severini

Aaron Severini composes music for concert, dance, film, television, and new media. Premieres include “Catch” performed by three-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn and pianist Cory Smythe at Davies Symphony Hall (CA). Aaron collaborates regularly with choreographers and has composed original scores for New York City Ballet, the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, The Juilliard School, and the New York Choreographic Institute. Severini's music has been licensed to underscore promotional campaigns for Cartier, Unicef, Squarespace, and MasterCard.

Recipient of The Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship. Composer for concert, dance, film, television, and new media. Holds a Bachelor and Master of Music degree in composition from The Juilliard School, danced professionally for the New York City Ballet, studied dance at The School of American Ballet.

Enjoys Collaborating with choreographers and has composed original scores for the New York Choreographic Institute, the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, the New York City Ballet and most recently Echo & Narcissus (a New Music USA Project Grant recipient) at BAM performed by ShoutHouse with choreography by Norbert De La Cruz III. Current projects include new arrangements for AN EVENING HONORING JESSYE NORMAN at National Sawdust on December 17.

Concert works have been performed at Alice Tully Hall (NYC), Davies Symphony Hall (San Francisco, CA), and premiered by pianists Stephen Gosling, Steven Beck, Cory Smythe, Robert Fleitz, and three-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn. Music for filmmakers and videographers includes works for PBS documentaries, iPad/iPhone applications, Cartier, New York City Ballet, Squarespace, Mastercard, Bloomberg, and others. More
